# Bush Shoe Dodge: Was the Secret Service Asleep at the Wheel?

I saw variations of [this clip](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4knakj3uOnM) multiple times on the news tonight and all I could think of was: Where was the Secret Service during all this??? Bush had to dodge **TWO** shoes before anyone jumped to defend him. WTF was the Secret Service up to during this attack? I realize that it wasn’t bullets, just shoes, and the SOB likely deserves it but _come on_. You’d think that when the leader of our country is in Iraq, the Secret Service would be on their toes. Am I overreacting here?

P.S. Forgive me if this has been discussed a thousand times. The 'Search feature now only gives me 'fatal errors" ☹
