I think Bush is a flaming moron, but I think his handlers are quite clever most of the time. So can someone explain to me how/why that rehearsal was made public? It’s a pretty standard practice for TV networks to have the cameras rolling before the event happens, and broadcast it on to a particular channel on the satellite. When they notice the event beginning to happen that’s when they switch to it. Well, the Bush Administration, for all the meticulous planning when it comes to appearances, must have overlooked the possibility that the public would see the wild feed. ---

I used to have a neighbour, an older guy in his mid-to-late-60s, who was convinced he saw newsreel footage of flying saucers attacking Washington, DC. He said the government hushed the whole thing up (somehow). A friend and I tried to convince him that what he saw was _Earth vs. The Flying Saucers_, but he was adamant that what he saw was real.
