Bushies can be political in GQ, but I can't.

Holy crap. Listen, I’m a liberal and think that commercial was just laughably stupid and misleading (I saw it on TV), but you went off the deep end. You started the political talk, and deserved the thread lockdown and warning.

[Homer Simpson]

“Demand satisfaction…slap.”

<Notices he just slapped a mod>

“D’oh!”

[/H.S.]

It’s an Independent board that discriminates against everyone! :slight_smile:

I don’t actually self-identify as “liberal” because that word has other connotations in Canada. (The BC “Liberal” government, for example, has gutted health care and other social programs, fucked over unions, hiked education costs, and generally screwed everyone except their corpulant corporate buddies.) I self-identify as NDP, which Babelfish translates into American as “Smelly Bolshevik.” :smiley: And if I held the reigns of power here, I’d have CSIS obsessing over Bush the way the CIA used to plot against Castro. “Ooh! I’ve got an idea! How about an exploding pretzel?” (That’s a joke, kids. Assassination is wrong, even when your plot resembles a vaudeville routine and your target is capital “E” evil.)

AskNott. I never dreamed I’d have so many seconds in our duel. Hope they don’t expect me to buy the beer after I mortally wound you. :slight_smile:

Seriously, my minions have given you the asswhipping that you deserve here. I couldn’t have said it any better, so I won’t.

And, I still can’t figure out WHY you couldn’t find my email address.

Have I gone mad, or did someone with almost 6 thousand posts that’s been here for 5 years just accuse Reeder of being a “Bushie”?? I don’t even read political threads and even I know how totally absurd that is…

::shakes head::

Why not?

Your sarcasm meter needs adjusting.

I was curious about that, myself. Moderators and Administrators can’t hide their e-mail addresses, even if they wanted to.

Maybe his vision was blurred by all the righteous indignation, and couldn’t find the right button.

The argument you made there was lame in any case, AskNott.

Going against 200 years of US case law is not in and of itself a legitimate argument against legislation. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 also was contrary to nearly 200 years of US case law. (Mind you, I’m not defending the CRA, but merely pointing out the flaw in logic.)

I apologize to everyone.

I was wrong.

I was mistaken.

I overreacted.

I’m sorry. :smack:

That’s OK AskNott, apology accepted.

But don’t call me a Bush supporter again, if you don’t want to to piss me off… :wink:

Good shootin’ AskNott. That took a pair.

Yep, no biggie, AskNott.

Hey, his vision cleared! Good show, sport.
