# Business Proposal--What do I need to include? (Google Ventures)

I’ve had an idea for a website for a few years now, but haven’t really had the monetary means to put it in action as I’ve imagined. But recently, I heard about Google’s Venture program ( [GV (Google Ventures)](http://www.google.com/ventures/) ) in which they’re looking to invest in ideas to grow into businesses. I figured, “what the hell, I may as well throw my idea their way and see what happens.”

But then it occurred to me that I have no idea how to write, or what to include in a business proposal. Here’s what they say on their website:

So how should I structure this baby? I have no experience at all doing so. I had considered starting off explaining the weaknesses of our competitors, and how we’d address that, but then I thought they may lose interest before getting to the part where I show what makes us unique.

Oh, and they mention using slides or type-written pages…what would be best? And what info do I need to include? Do I need to provide what the costs of the business might be? Or how we intend to make money?

Anyone have experience with this?
