Just thought I would put in my two cents about ‘Buster Brown’. I got a chance to meet the guy who advertised as the young boy character for the Buster Brown Shoes commercial. He worked as a news anchor for a local television station in Reno, Nevada, he stated, “Remember the poster kid and dog in the Buster Brown commercials?” We answered (in Chorus, I might add) ‘Yes’, well, he answered, “That was me.” Of course we were in shock, I don’t remember what was said after that, but we proceeded with our interviews. As we were in town to talk about our up and coming performance with the Reno Philharmonic.

Wow! He’s an anchor for a TV station in a pretty big market yet he so craves approval from total strangers that he pulls out a non-sequitor about something he did when he was eight? Kinda sad.

You mentioned Chucks, Keds and Red Ball Jets; what, no love for [PF Flyers](http://www.pfflyers.com/heritage.php)?

I think I mentioned them in an early version, but my haphazard writing method results in multiple false starts, sometimes caused by the untrustworthy mass storage systems of the antique laptops to which I am unexplainably attached and other times because I decide on a whim to use a different computer, and PF Flyers slipped my mind in the final product.
