There was a fair amount of faking going on Alexi Leonov’s firts “space walk” was true-but the film clip that the Russians released looks phoney. More recently, the Chinese “Shenzen” spacewalk film looks like it was shot in a water tank. ---

The chemistry of the rocks from the moon show formation without the presence of water, which rocks form Earth all uniformly show. The moon rocks show micrometeroid impacts, which Earth rocks don’t have. But as **Shot From Guns** mentions, just because they are actual Moon rocks doesn’t mean we had to of gotten them by hand. ---

You think he just decided to share some random fact in case anyone was curious? It could have just as easily been “I once attended a taping of _The Tonight Show_”? ---

I parse that sentence as “I know we went to the moon. I have even touched a moon rock.” Not “I know we went to the moon because I have touched a moon rock.” Obviously we’re both guessing at what **Ironcross** meant. I will stick with mine unless he says otherwise. ---

I never said or implied it was a complete non-sequitur. Just that it wasn’t being offered as proof we’ve been to the moon, rather as a _related_ comment. ---

Anyone planning to reply please note that this thread is a bit over 2 years old. (And welcome to the Dope, **bethpage89** ) I wonder if anyone suggested to the hoaxers that they should collect enough money for a moon mission to check. They can control the instrumentation that they want, to make sure no one is fooling them. They could leave enough space for some real science too.
