Those from the golden years of rock are slowly fading away. It was inevitable, but it sucks that it is happening. It will be a strange world without Steve Perry or Lou Gramm, but their ends are coming sooner than we’d like to think. As a baseball fan, the same thing is happening in the sport. All the legends of the game are dying off. Just in the past year we’ve lost Yogi Berra, Ernie Banks and going back a little further, Stan Musial. Can you imagine a world without Hank Aaron or Willie Mays? Alas, their ends are nigh. ---

I’m not old enuff to have seen the Airplane live, but I did go to an outdoor concert with Slick and Kantner in Jefferson Starship, sometime in the late '70s. I remember almost nothing about it except that it was fun to see the two of them onstage. ---

Possibly more bad news or a possible hoax. Several people on Facebook are posting that Signe Toly Anderson (Grace’s predecessor in the Airplane) has also died. I don’t see this anywhere else online though. Can anyone substantiate this? ---
