Okay, so I never actually heard of the place before they invited a kerfuffle. Apparently, [shoving a meal into a cardboard cup](https://www.cupitup.com/) was something some people thought was a good idea. (I suppose it is a step above Soylent.) The owners say they received harassing and threatening phone calls all weekend. If so, I hope those who made the calls are found and subject to whatever charges are relevant. Harassment and threats can’t be condoned. A boycott, I could get behind. I wonder if the owners thought that posting that statement, when they probably derive a big chunk of income from college students, would be good for their business. ---

Interesting that they called it a meal in a cup when it’s nothing at all but your standard buddha or hippie bowl. I’m not sad that it was publicized and caused their business to close. However, people of all stripes need to stop with the harassment and threats. Calling the business to harass the employees is wrong. Threatening the place of business is wrong. Hard (for either side) to take the high moral ground when they spend so much time wallowing in the sewer. ETA: The article linked in “went” has a screen capture of the post. ---

Here’s something I don’t know how to properly parse. While I don’t support harassment, I don’t have a problem with the fact that they ended up closing. _They told people not to come if they disagreed with them politically, and to spread the word as widely as possible._ :smack: I do feel sorry for the employees who lost their jobs because of their employers’ stupidity. ---

How does a huge amount of negative publicity increase the value for a potential buyer? (They will undoubtedly have to change the name.)
