In [this](http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=11717851&posted=1#post11717851) thread I went through several edits trying to get MST3K to come out appropriately capitalized. Not happening. I get that the Board is coded to prevent shouting posts, but is there a workaround for acronyms? ---

How’d you get it to work here, then? But, if you’re having problems, don’t forget about the noparse tag. Stick it around something, and it doesn’t go through the filter. [noparse][noparse]I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU MY FRIEND[/noparse][/noparse] becomes [noparse]I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU MY FRIEND[/noparse] (Don’t ask me why I chose that phrase. My brain is random.) ---

It was a rhetorical question, my (failed) subtle attempt to show that, if he’d just add a few extra words to the post, it wouldn’t be a problem. For example, he could have said “I think you mean MST3K”, and it would have worked fine. Then I offered the noparse tag, which is something he could add without it actually showing up in the post, even when you highlight (like **Squink** ’s example does). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work by itself. I’ll try to find something else. I’m sorry I was unclear. ---

TESTING: So as long as part of the post is in lower case, USE OF CAPS FOR THE REMAIDER IS OK? THIS IS INTERESTING, AS I DIDN’T REALIZE UNTIL NOW THAT THE SYSTEM PREVENTED all caps. ---
