Trevor Noah had it right – we need a Presidential Translator to translate whatever dialect of English it is that Trump speaks into intelligible sentences. ---

You know, I am reluctant to give Trump the benefit of the doubt about anything, but is it possible that tried to say something along the lines of, “He knowingly signed up for a difficult and dangerous job, and we honor his heroism.” And it came out as, “He knew what he signed up for.” I can easily believe that Trump was undiplomatic, but well intentioned in this case. I can’t believe I said that, and it should not be taken to indicate that I believe that Trump is in general well intentioned. ---

There’s nothing subtle about Trump. Even if he was trying to be diplomatic, he’s had no practice and his real thoughts take over. ETA: He wraps himself in aluminum foil and thinks he’s polished. ---

True, I am just concerned that when you jump him for something that is unsubtle but possibly not evil, it dilutes the impact of his real evil. Like just about everything he has said about Puerto Rico. ---

You’re saying that you believe, based on what you know about these two women, that they are lying about the content of the conversation? And with all that you know about Mr. Trump, you think it likely that he said something with the tone and content that you describe? IS that what you’re saying?
