After dithering for quite some time (I said hell no and then no for years, then have waffled to varying degrees for the past year plus), I have reluctantly decided to make a Twitter account. I tell myself it’s in the interest of broadening my scope of information intake; hell, maybe it is. What I’m after here is the name of that account that repeats all of 45’s tweets, for all of us who want to stay on top of whatever he directly has to [del]say[/del] spew, but don’t want to swell the number of either of his account’s followers. I believe it was mentioned in this thread some weeks or months ago, but don’t have the patience to dig for it. Also, if anyone has any suggestion for accounts to follow, I’d gratefully consider them. Again, I’m looking for sources of (fairly) reliable information; I’m not too interested in overly-extreme wings of thought, whether right or left. Thanks! ---

I have thought about joining Twitter, if for no other reason than to respond to the idiot in chief and his followers. It could be cathartic, but ultimately pointless. Just. Can’t. Do. It. Not enough hours in the day. So, I can’t recommend any accounts to follow, but thanks for taking one for the team. ---

I was having a conversation with colleagues at work last February, i.e., shortly after the inauguration, and it turned out that like 3 or 4 of us had just recently joined Twitter for the expressed purpose of responding to Trump’s tweets. My tweets don’t seem to get any notice, but it is definitely cathartic. And, then there are the brilliant things you see there, like [this](https://twitter.com/LOLGOP/status/959864090670895104) response to a recent Paul Ryan tweet. ---

I have a twitter account and I follow a few people, Paul Krugman, EJ Dionne, Robert Reich, Carl Bernstein, John Dean, to name a few. Thump isn’t one of them. I have no followers and don’t want any. The main thing I use twitter for is communicating directly with the author of an article, a reporter, a local TV station or a TV program. Just about everyone has a twitter account, and their addresses are easy to find. It’s better than sending an email. For example, once on America’s Test Kitchen, they showed a butter dish that they really liked, and when I went to the source they named, I couldn’t find it. I tweeted to Chris Kimball and got a prompt reply with the correct info. I doubt if the reply was from him personally, but I didn’t care; I found out what I wanted. Twitter is a pretty efficient way of communicating. ---
