Trump just tweeted his advice on how to fight the fire at Notre Dame (“flying water tankers”). Is there anything the man is not an expert on? Truly remarkable! ---

Because we don’t have yuge forests to begin with. Still, as a French citizen woke to Trump’s twitter, I am incensed at my government from not considering this common sense solution. We really \*should \*have a fleet of Canadairs on standby, for when Notre Dame catches fire. Which it never has in longer than the United fucking States have existed. How short-sighted can France be ?! ---

Even those of us who have large fleets of water bombers haven’t had the wisdom to use them on building fires (with the exception, I believe, of the forest fire that burned down half of Fort McMurray, Alberta when they did use them in the city.)
