One of my senators (Pat Roberts) is retiring, but I let him know that if he voted against conviction (should Trump be impeached by the House), I would not vote for whoever is the Republican nominee for his open seat. Of course, I wouldn’t have voted for the Pub anyway, but it felt good to tell the Senator that he should at least consider the consequences of his vote. ---

What he re-tweeted, via Robert Jeffress, was: “If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal” Jeffress is saying that it would be a fracture similar to the fracture after the US Civil War. This is a bone-headed tweet, but it’s not a threat. ---
