Greta, while on the spectrum, has a very good IQ----and she may have used it to disarm some of the Despicable One’s opposition to anything that could ameliorate climate change. It’s well-documented that there is less support among Republicans in the senate. Some Republicans, like Romney, don’t have to worry about re-election anytime soon. And others, like Collins, do have to worry about carrying a state that could easily go Blue. They will be watching the polls. People have a tendency to live in the present. If he says the wrong thing at the wrong time, that could put some senators under the spotlight. ---
