trump has been on a twitter tear over the last 24 hours or so. Here’s a 2-parter: part 1 bashing the protesters; in part 2 his description of America under Biden sounds suspiciously like trump’s America right now: > The Fake News Media is trying to portray the Portland and Seattle “protesters” as wonderful, sweet and innocent people just out for a little stroll. And this mega-whiney tweet about his negative trending hashtags.I can’t believe his supporters see a strong leader in a guy who constantly whines about how “unfair” people are to him. Who else over the age of around 10 complains about unfairness all the time? I remember when I was a kid and I complained about something being unfair…my parents, teachers, any grownup who heard that would say “life’s not fair. I like that he manages to sneak, “illegal”, into his whine. I’m well past the expectation that anyone in the MAGAcult is going to pause to examine the veracity of any of his claims. But just for a second I like to entertain the possibility that someone wonders what the fucking hell he means when he claims Twitter trends are “illegal”. Does nothing mean anything to MAGATS anymore? If Trump has accomplished one thing with his presidency, it is to expose the abject ignorance and deplorability of a frighteningly large proportion of the population. I mean, I see these fucking morons standing and arguing with the hardware store $12/hr cashier who asking them to wear a mask. I suppose I should not be surprised but I fear we’re not yet at rock bottom with these fucking troglodytes. ---

I truly didn’t know there were this many of them around. And they lurk in the most unexpected places. In a church choir. In your book club. In your ladies’ group. In your _FAMILY_, FFS! Trump has given them permission, not exactly to crawl out from under the rocks, because they were always in plain sight (we just didn’t know it), but to say out loud what they’ve been thinking, what they hate, how wronged they feel, what they’d like to do about it. He has tapped into pools of rage just below the surface-- like the old-timey oil drillers and we’re seeing it spout and splash and stain everything. But it was always there… it’s not new. It probably needed to be exposed. I just hope the country survives it. In my lifetime, if possible, but I may not live to see the healing-- I’m 71. ---
