Where in Brooklyn? I grew up across the street from the NYC Aquarium in between Coney Island and Brighton Beach.

I do understand what you mean about the Elmo people. I was once on the way to see the ballet. They were honoring Samuel L. Jackson at the wax museum. He was there in person being gawked at by people taking up the entire sidewalk. I said yeah that’s nice and then basically yelped at the tourists to get out of my damned way because I was running late.
