Buying products before tariffs kick in

If you expect to need tires in the next 12 months, I’d buy them, if not install, now.

My employer is getting the anticipated vendor notifications of price hikes and surcharges that haven’t yet hit the price lists but will. Soon. Early next week.

This is about the best price you’re gonna get on an apple watch these days. I just bought this one, and I don’t like apple products, but their watches work well.

Play pictures/Artwork so you don’t have a huge black hole in the wall. My wife and I love this. Screen savers basically.

We just moved into a house nearly twice as big as our current one. So we are tryin to get ahead of the tariffs. Some things work, some are a swing and a miss.

Samsung has an entire line of flat-screen TVs that are designed to look like framed artwork. Obviously, you could display artwork on any TV but these are designed to look more like a framed painting or poster than most.

Yeah, Geek Squad guy told me about that. And said that they are trying to limit other images on a regular flat screen to get you to buy the ‘Art’ TV’s, but I don’t know how that would work. Would have to be some firmware I suspect. Still, I can find some nice suff. I’m not in the Geek Squad, I’m part of the Nerd Herd.

I finally got tired of the crappy string trimmer I’ve been using. I dreaded what the prices of new (battery powered) ones might be. I bit the bullet and checked online. Hmm, those prices seem pretty good. Checking CamelCamelCamel revealed it was the lowest price ever. Made in China. It arrived last night.

Weird.

Customs hasn’t caught up yet. But, they will.
