It had potential, but mostly it tastes like Kool-Aid Man pissed in my Mountain Dew. I’d drink it, but I don’t particularly like it. Certainly, I’d never select it, given other options. ---

Heheh - good description. I was hoping for a high-octane Big Red - but it tasted to me like Hawaiian Punch with caffiene. ---

I never liked Mountain Dew, but I kind of like Code Red. Yes, it tastes like carbonated fruit punch and has a healthy dose of caffiene, but it’s better than the glowing green death flavor of the original. Color me in the red camp I guess. ---

This wretched excuse for a soft drink is absolutely VILE! It tastes like someone dipped a red crayon in overcarbonated off-brand seltzer water. The taste is horrid, very…very, gah, I can’t even think of anything as abominable as the drink itself. It’s about as refreshing as a Pixy-stix diluted in club soda. (I have a friend who is a Pepsi distributor and genuinely loves the stuff - he can have my share. I’ll stick to the green stuff.) ---

I was wondering what the Code Red worm has to do with Mountain Dew, but I gather this is just a new soft drink ala Pepsi Kona. I must be out of the soda loop, 'cause I ain’t never heard of it. Does it spread from west to east, or have I not been watching enough television, or what? ---

Back in college–yes, kids, we had college back then–my then-girlfriend-now-wife and I used to drink Mt. Dew literally by the quart. I got the bright idea to put some grenadine in it, and it was tasty. Dammit, Pepsi owes me money for this one! Then again, I’d also usually add a liberal splash of Canadian Mist. Stof. ---

For the record, I absolutely love Code Red. I also absolutely love Mountain Dew (“I’ll take the crab juice!”). However, both of these beverages absolutely pale in comparison to the Soda of the Gods, Josta (which Pepsi cancelled so they could make Pepsi One… the BASTARDS!!!) ---

I like both Mountain Dew and Code Red. What’s great is the 7-11 down the street from my house permanently has Code Red as a flavor for their Slurpees. Slurping down one of those giant-sized ones when you are feeling dry-mouthed and lethargic is great. ---

I like 'em both. Not sure which one I like more, but it’s nice to break up the typical Mt Dew drinking with some Code Red every now and then. And I agree with Spoofe, Josta was some GOOD stuff (Oddly, always made me think of cough syrup…). But I have to disagree and say I still like Dew more 😉 ---

Bah! Why mess with the perfection that is Mountain Dew? When I first saw Code Red, I recoiled in horror. Then drank it. It wasn’t bad or anything, just wrong. ---

In my workplace, they replaced Root Beer in the vending machine with Code Red…without changing the button label. Ergo, when I pushed the button expecting to get that good Root Beer flavour (not great since it wasn’t Barq’s, but good enough), instead I got the so-so Code Red. I wasn’t too pleased, and the label still indicates Root Beer, damn it! ---

When I go out I usually drink Cherry Pucker and Mt. Dew. So when they came out with Code Red it was a big hit with me. I had someone tell me it tasted like DR. Pepper to them. Also IIRC someone told me it has even more caffine the the regular stuff, therefore Kricket had to give it up for a while. Just couldn’t figure out what had started the migraines up again till I heard that. Now I drink it limited. Next up …Code Blue! You guys ready for that one? I think it’s due out next summer. ---

When I was driving back from Calgary on Monday PM, I got real thirsty. So, I pulled off at some gas station and bought a bottle of that. It was soooo sweet I had to stop at the next town to buy some water to quench my thirst. Although, in hindsight I should have known better than to buy _anything_ with Mountain Dew on the label and expect it to be thirst quenching.
