It’s amazing to me that I’m 41 years old, and that I’ve spent a significant portion of my life involved in the SDMB. I’ve interacted with Opal in one form or another for over a quarter of my life, even if it was only in the form of reading her posts. She has been a major part of the life and culture of this board, and her memory looms large in my mind - even though I have never met her. I’m so, so sorry to hear this. I remember her from the early days, and I’ll always remember her. ---
