Well, fuck. I entertained for a moment that it might be about her deciding to leave the board to move on with her life, but I had that feeling in my stomach that told me that wasn’t it. I am sorry to see her go, and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Especially her son. ---

I am saddened to hear of Opal’s loss. I met her once or twice at Dopefests, and she was a vibrant, complex woman. I wish her family the best of love and support. ---

Very sad news indeed. I don’t recall ever conversing with Opalcat myself, but she showed up in a lot of threads that I read but didn’t post to over the years. ---

So young and vital. My condolences to her family, especially Dominic, and her friends. She’ll be missed around here. She didn’t come by often anymore, but she left an imprint on the SD community. If her profile is accurate, she was only 41. ---
