Settle down you two. As to the OP I agree it is a bit disconcerting that an adminstrator doesn’t understand the severity of the privacy breach. It is even more disconcerting that said administratior decided that this privacy breach was fertile grounds for jokes. I along with many members of this board are pissed about this. An administrator joking about it is a bad show indeed. Certainly is a reflection on the boards refound commitment to privacy in a decidingly negative fashion. ---

I take issue with your use of the word “now” as a qualifier. Even IP information can be sensitive, as a Banned Person’s Whose Handle I Dare Not Mention pointed out. At this point, I think that the SDMB’s attitude towards our privacy in regards to actions vs stated policies is even worse than our last trip to Belgium. 2% is preposterous, Dex. Without it, not many give a flying furck about your other 98%. ---

Wouldn’t it be better to wait till the dust settles just a bit before launching another salvo, even on a peripheral (by your definition) issue. ---
