True enough, babies that are you own have probs. Grandchillen, on t’other hand, you just give back to the parents when they spit up or need a diaper change. But walking and rocking a crying infant and having it settle down comfortably and go to sleep on your shoulder… man, that’s the best there is. ---

How could I ever forget that night on the icefloes, after **Dex** single-handedly saved me from the polar bear by reaching down its throat and strangling it with its own tongue! **Dex** , we’ll always have Ellesmere Island.
