# CA Prop 56: Why should I vote yes?

Prop 56 failed, with a 65% majority voting “no”. An interesting number, since it’s very close to the majority needed to pass a budget in the Legislature. 🙂

So, we have to assume that lots of Democrats voted “no”. **Lots**. The Dem primary surely brought out more Dem voters than Pubs in this CA election.
