Does anyone remember this sketch that appeared (as I remember it) as a 30 second spot on the Comedy Network (Canada) back in 1997 or so? If you do know it, do you know who made it, or where I can find out? Googling and an archive search here didn’t help at all. (If this belongs in GQ, please move it for me 🙂 ) ---

Thank God it’s not in GQ. Sounds like the Salter Street crowd, or whoever did the Canadian Sacrilege Moments stuff. I think I remember it, and if the mental picture I have is right it’s one of those groups, but you might be better off sending an e-mail to the Comedy Network. ---

Umm I meant “dope **r** s” … that is a typo that should be corrected. 😃 Salter Street. Good idea. 🙂 Maybe I should email CBC too then. Why couldn’t this be in GQ? ---

As proof of the fact that I have no factual answers, I’m now thinking that Mark McKinney from Kids In the Hall may have been in the sketch. I’ll stop posting now, because apparently I’m going to drag Bob and Ray into this. ---

Thanks Curious Canuck…the only place to find it on video currently is on U-tube in the two clipped versions. We had a good laugh ourselves making this send up to all things proud and Scottish - and young and foolish, as a production calling card. It played in various festivals and then on the CBC, YTV and the Comedy Network. It was always a popular film wherever it played - but it didn’t help us much. Indeed, thanks to the internet where everything plays and nothing pays.
