# Cadbury Gorilla takes home ad award banana from Cannes

exactly! you win a large snickers bar! just tell me where to send it.

my fav. was when he asked one of his huge defensive teammates if he wanted to ride in the batmobile.

it took us 3 weeks to come up with the answer. we would see the commercials and not remember, then i saw the commercial, ran for pen and paper and wrote down the product. (i got the prize in work, milky way 'cause i don’t want peanuts slowing down my chocolate.)

cadbury purple i’d remember… snickers doesn’t have a trademark colour.

Ok, “just a guy in a gorilla suit” is just so not fair. For weeks people debated whether or not it was a trained real gorilla, or cgi, because it looked so much like a drum-skilled gorilla pounding on his set in his purple basement. I think the physical actor did a fabulous job, and the special effects were great. So there. 😛😃

Maybe it’s just that I come from a technical theatre background, specifically special effects makeup, that this part of it didn’t blow me away.
