# Caffeine in chocolate covered espresso beans

My wife emailed me this question from work…can someone answer it?

Will you query the Dope for me? I can’t find out how much caffeine chocolate covered espresso beans have. I searched all over the web and got nothing. Every site assumes water running through the beans, not actually eating them. I ate 10 and was bouncing off the walls. But on the Peet’s package it says that a serving size is 28 - which would surely kill me or the average human. I think they base that on calories, though, not caffeine.

## Let me know your findings!

I was wondering this very same question the other day as I scarfed down about twenty beans of delicious spazticness and then had a cup of coffee to wash down the excedrin migraine pill.

Woooo…that was a productive day.

[This site](http://www.forbodyandsoul.com/choccovcofbe.html) claims that 5-6 of their chocolate covered coffee beans contain the equivalent of 1 cup of coffee, or about 120mg of caffeine.
