Cains camp has blamed Romney for leaking the story. They have blamed Perry’s people for leaking the story. They have blamed the media for talking about it. They have not blamed Cain for 3 incidents of harassment. That is not part of the story, I guess. ---

I guess attorney Gloria Allred is going to have a press conference with some woman (is it 3 or 4 women now? I’ve lost count.) who reports also having been sexually harassed by Cain today. ---

If this woman is telling the truth, this situation was not merely some vaguely suggestive comments in mixed company or a vulgar, off-color joke told in a lady’s presence, but a full-on sexual assault (up-skirt grope and an attempt to force her head to his crotch) that could have easily resulted in years in prison for Herman Cain. I didn’t see the press conference. I do see that Bennett, the lawyer for one of the women who settled a claim against Cain, said what she described was “very similar” to what happened to his client. That’s arguably worse since she brought a lawsuit at the time and this woman is just going public now. ---

I can only seem to find clips of the video. I don’t find it odd that the accuser was blonde, but do find it bizarre that she claimed her reaction to Cain sticking his hand up her skirt was, “Hey, I have a boyfriend!” Err, what? That’s your objection? ---

I’m sure he didn’t like that reaction either, but seriously now, I was sexually harassed by my boss once at roughly 90% male workplace, and the last thing on my mind was my boyfriend. My thoughts were, “My boss is pulling some misogynistic bullying bullshit” and “Oh, fuck no.” Whether or not I had a boyfriend had _nothing_ to do with my anger. The asshole later got fired, and I don’t think it was just because of me, but good riddance to the creepy bastard no matter what the cause was.
