It looks like that wretched, evil baby in “It!”, I couldn’t eat any of it…well, maybe the corner, but none of the baby bits. That must have been one helluva a baby shower. Interesting that the cake is from the UK, where there is a pudding known as 'dead baby." (a bit of cultural lore I learned from reading Anthony Burgess, who had Caligula in _Kingdom of the Wicked_ serving a pasty-baby with mincemeat erupting from its anus) ---

The [lotus foot cake](http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/2008/07/bringing-whole-new-meaning-to-foot-in.html) is the one that gets me. It’s a train wreck. It’s clearly a well-done cake, everything that the customer ordered, and done extremely well. It’s also more disgusting than haggis. ---

I learned about this site on another board, and spent a lot of time on it. I think the cake made for the podiatrist, depicting a “bound foot” was about as gross as you can get, but yet it was good artistically because it did such a good job of mimicing the original. Think of the decorator that had to look at photos of the real thing! Ugh. I made a cake this year for our library’s annual “Edible Book” contest. It was fun.
