As discussed in [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=320662&page=1&pp=50) thread, we are planning a Calgary Dopefest or two at the end of July. Here’s the skinny so far: 11th Ave Chili Club on the 30th of July at 6:30 PM eating Lemon Garlic Prawns with **alice\_in\_wonderland, GingerOfTheNorth, gut, lost in cyberspace** , probably **featherlou and Dread Pirate Jimbo** , possibly **Spoons (and wife), trupa, and serious lark**. Because **adam yax** is leaving Calgary just before then, and we are hospitable folk (and I’m not opposed to not cooking twice that week), we’re thinking of going out for dinner one night earlier that week as well. As **trupa** has mentioned, **adam** , would Thursday, July 28th work for you for a dinner engagement? ---

Are you available for Thursday, July 28? That sounds like it would be most convenient for **trupa and serious lark**. Jim and I are available most days (barring baseball playoffs and such). ---

My summer is completely up in the air. I have no idea, at this point, if I’m going to be in Alberta at that time. If at all. ---

I’d popped into other Calgary threads before, and it looks like it might have been worthwile…I’m flying into Calgary on the 28th, and was planning on spending a couple of nights in the city before heading off into the mountains. So I may well be turning up 🙂 (Although I do have a whole Irish extended family to work around!) ---

I’ll make the 28th work. I was going to go to Canmore for the night, but I’ll stay in Calgary. Now, for a restaurant - I love Caesars but Thai or Indian or Chinese (real or north american) is fine by me. Of course, I’ll probably get to Caesars at some point anyway. I’ll try anything so any ideas? ---

I’m thinking over here - how about Indonesian? Restaurant Indonesia is very good (well, it was good the one time we went there), but parking might be a concern on a Thursday night. ---

Well, the 30th is out for me. I’m scheduled to work that evening, unless the manager changes it but that’s unlikely. The 28th, I could probably do. I’ll just have to be sure to keep some money in my pocket 😃 ---
