There’s another [YouTube video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZgPCC454PQ&search=mamas%20and%20the%20papas) of _California Dreamin’_ with the “Cass shuffle” and an item of bizarre headgear, but no bathtub dancers. ---

Wow, this really took me back to my misspent youth. I saw the Mamas and Papas perform live, twice. And my sister and I used to watch Hullabaloo devotedly. Somehow, while the Mamas and Papas have held up, Hullabaloo, not so much. Gah, we watched some really awful TV! But it was so…groovy! 😃 😃 ---

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I especially liked seeing the Yardbirds clip - good stuff there. Wow. I wanted a pair of go-go boots so bad, and used to try to get the “look” down with makeup and hair. When I finally got the boots for xmas, I cried, I was so happy. ---

I forgot to mention that I used to watch Shindig, Hullabaloo, and an L.A. show, 9th Street West all the time, and actually danced like that, myself. I was 12 or 13 at the time and really wanted to be a _teenager_! ---
