Sometimes I’m called **Suburban** , other times it’s **Plankton**. Occasionally, I’ll get **burb** , **burbs** , or **burbsy** , and on rare occasions \*\*plank \*\*or **planky**.
None of them bother me in the slightest.

My friends IRL who call me **WordMan** sometimes shorten it to **Word** or **Verb** …

I used to sign my posts with D/a, but I’ve only seen one or two people call me that. And that was a year or so after I stopped with the sig! It’s nice that someone remembered. 🙂
If you MUST shorten my name, use “ **Happy**.” I find that prevents confusion.

I get called “swampy” or “bear” a lot. Either is cool. One doper in particular refers to me as “old fart.” That’s ok as well. I do tend to hang around and smell funny. 😃

I’ve been called \*\*Purple \*\*and **PHS** for a while. 'S okay. A few Dopers are even clever enough to change the font color, which means that my username sometimes gets graped by The Grapist even though that joke is older than my time here in the 1st place.

Very, very rarely, someone will “shorten” it to **T**.
And I would have been more likely to call the OP **Lender**. I’ll also have to remember **picunurse** ’s preferred name, as the “nurse” part is the least unique, so I tend to want to use the other part. The rest of y’all’s just make sense.
Though, with **EmilyG** , I kinda want to call her **[7/8](http://www.drumlessons.com/drum-lessons/rock-drumming/learning-78-odd-time/)** due to her new title.
