I hope that our county lets that county know that they have her in custody. I check the website everyday hoping to find new information. I have no information on my sons case against her. He did have to go again to the police station to sign something else. I assume they are making their case against her and my son will be notifed when they have it all together. We did return to the bank and as they told him before there was nothing they could do since his name was in the pay to order line and he has to pay back the money. At this time his account is frozen. He is going to pay them as much as he can every two weeks when he gets paid. ---

See if the bank might be willing to extend an $800 unsecured loan to your son so that they can have their money back now and he can make payments without worrying about any additional penalties or being reported to Check Services. Some of those processes are automated by the banks tapes and taking that loan might cancel out any additional unintended fees or negative credit reporting that he’ll have to fight in the future. Then stop by a currency exchange on your way home from work and grab one of their cards so the next time someone asks your son about anything like this he can tell them where to go. 😉 ---

Glad to hear the resolution **SomeUserName**. We were burgled years ago - there’s some special satisfaction in seeing the person who ripped you off sitting in a courtroom getting their comeuppance. ---

If he’s a naive 20-year old, I’ll bet he wouldn’t be intimate with someone unless he loved and trusted them in the first place, at least to some degree. That would make the betrayal even more hurtful. Emotional betrayal is worse than losing some bucks. I’d rather be ripped off by a passing acquaintance than someone who I loved enough to be very intimate with. YMMV. ---
