Hi folks

I’ll be going to Japan for about a month or two and would like a cheap solution for calling back to the US. Here, whenever I need to make a call to the mainland US (I’m in Hawaii) I use a phone card…is there anything like that or other solutions?

Thanks for all your help.

Maybe ten years ago, calling abroad used to cost a fortune as the only way to do it was through KDD.

Barring internet phone, the cheapest way now is indeed phone cards. The cheapest I found are Brastel (yes, that’s right, Brasil telephone) cards. More info here: [http://www.brastel.com/Main/Eng.html](http://www.brastel.com/Main/Eng.html)
