I was thinking about that whole Haiku thing on Livejournal… which has absolutely nothing to do with it.
I heard somewhere that Livejournal are thinking about getting rid of the invite code system soon. Anyone know if this is true?
(and I ask again - who here has actually got a livejournal? sometimes I feel like I’m the only one)

[Here](http://www.livejournal.com/news/2002-05-qa.bml#q9) is what bradfitz had to say about it in May; the invite code system is still in place but may be eliminated at some unspecified time in the future. I haven’t heard anything more recent; you could maybe try poking around in some of the support communities and see if there’s more recent info there.

And [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47331&highlight=livejournal) is where all of the Livejournalists give a shout-out to each other. There’s also an sdmb community you can join.
