Calling someone a ‘Terrorist’

I don’t think it was by me.

Pursuant to the Football Queensland (and I presume that the other states have similar rules) using “offensive, insulting, abusive or intimidating language and/or gestures” is a red card offence (R6).

Use of “discriminatory, homophobic, racist, religous, ethnic or sexist language and/or gestures” (for a first offence) carries a minmum sentence of 6 fixtures.

homophobic, … or sexist language

So, “mewling quim” is right out then?

And i just heard on the radio that a professional us athlete was suspended for using a homophobic slur. A word that might not be as toxic as some of the slurs the OP mentioned as common in Australia. (Like mewling quim)

Shameful. I’d be alright with a longer suspension.

And a much bigger fine while we’re at it.

TY Cobb beat up an handicapped fan up. Brutally.

I don’t remember what happened to him. But obviously he continued to play ball many years.
I wonder what would happen him now?

(I would hope criminal charges and jail time)

A fine ball player, but a totally racist, hateful, asshole.

Absolutely false.

Ty Cobb was slandered by sportswriter Al Stump, who hounded him. That slander was repeated so often it’s become modern myth. I recommend this article:
