We had a great cartoon in our raptor rehab clinic:

[paraphrase]  
Calvin is walking through his house, only it’s not ‘quite’ his house. Suddenly an out-of-proportioned puppet of his mother hands him a bowl of food and encourages him to eat, and Calvin finds out he’s been in a laboratory and they are trying to imprint him on his own species. Then he wakes up and goes to breakfast, terrified and wondering if she’s his real mother.

I always wondered how the baby birds pictured us, feeding them with an oversized birdhead puppet and tape recorder.
