He is pretty easy to take care of, just give him his prednisone and a whole bunch of Burow’s Solution and leave him alone. If he is willing to sleep on the sofa, he can use cortisone cream [I have an issue with topical cortisone so I need to avoid touching him when he is all yucky with it.]
Luckily most enlisteds tend to be younger and pretty healthy - but I love the ID corpsmen I have run into training at the base hospital. back when I had 3 months of wound care they ran a fair number of them into my cubical when I was in for my weekly follow up visit. I may bitch about tri-care, but when I had a tumor go from pea size to ping pong ball size in 30 days, it took them a week to get the diagnostics done and me into surgery. And they do pick up the bill for something like $3000 in medications a month to keep my sorry ass above ground. [and they will be ripping out my gall bladder later in the summer unless it explodes or something earlier.]
