Can AI be used to create an early Beatles tune?

Everything I’ve seen out of AI in this regard is wordy, clunky, and cornball. The above is no exception. Sounds like the guy who came up with “It was a dark and stormy night” trying to write a Moody Blues song.

When I saw the thread title I thought this was going to be about the recent news that Paul McCartney is actually making use of AI to create a ‘new’ Beatles song.

He’s only using the AI to help extract Lennon’s voice from an old demo with poor sound quality though, not create a Beatles song from scratch.

I did see that, and it probably generated this thread in my mind. Lennon’s voice sounds pretty good on the finished product.

I don’t either, and especially not to their early style.

Some critical comments. For verse one, early Beatles’ tunes rarely if ever speak in the first person plural nor do they wax nostalgic. Both of those are later Beatles stuff, and mainly Paul.

For the chorus, there’s some self-referential stuff that recurs throughout this song (“won’t you hold my hand” and later “Oh darling” “twist and shout” and “across the universe,” and a few others, which are both indicative of their later style and refer to phrases they hadn’t used yet in their early period) so: no. Poor job, overall.
