# Can anybody recommend an online background check company?

More than a credit check is needed.  
Inexpensive is desired.  
Asking for a friend.

I have a BeenVerified account that I use to check out peoples criminal records. It cost like $45 for 3 months. PM me if you want a report ran. I’ve often sat in a bar and run background checks for people just for fun.

BeenVerified gives you address history, names of relatives, phone number, emails, educational information, job history and assests. But the information is only as good as what is available in the public domain. They do have a feature that will deep dive into local records for an additional fee and you have to be specific what court you want them to check.

I have paid for full background checks on myself, just so I was sure what an employer would be seeing. It’s been awhile, but believe it cost like $120 at the time (7 years ago).
