I’ve been reading through the archives of the webcomic Air Force Blues and I wonder does anyone know what who/what the ‘Badger’ mentioned in these two strips is a reference to?

If I were playing simple word association then I’d say [this](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-16). But it doesn’t seem to fit here.
