# Can anyone ID this sad country song?

I heard this when I was between 7-9 years old back in the late '90s. My mom worked at the same elementary school I attended and it would periodically come on the radio when I was playing with toys or reading books while I waited for her to get done with whatever she was doing after school let out.

It was sung by a male singer and I only remember this line that went something like this:
