Or are five in a dark black and five in a slightly darker black?

As for printed comics - The Walking Dead?

> Characters in cartoons almost always seem to wear the same items of clothing every day unless the plot of the cartoon involves clothes (a wedding or Homer becomes a fireman) Can anyone name a cartoon series in print or on TV where cartoon characters just wear different clothes because thats just what people do on different days and not just because of a plot point? And why is this? Could you not figure out who Lucy was if she was wearing a green dress instead of a blue one?

Jem and the Holograms, from the '80s. Jem was a fashion doll, and they actually sold the dolls in outfits somewhat similar to what they wore (and I assume extra outfits, too - I never actually had the dolls). Each character had their own wardrobe and would wear the outfits again in later episodes. But still, each of the good guys had at least a half dozen outfits. Villains and supporting characters, somewhat less so.

_ahem, see post 8_

And the villains had plenty of clothes, too - the Misfits, Eric, and Techrat were released as dolls and had the wardrobes that would suggest. Techrat, in fact, had different outfits in each of his appearances.

The main character of the anime _Shirobako_, Aoi Miyamori, [wears](https://blog.sakugabooru.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/myaamori-stress-1038x576.jpg) [a](http://i.imgur.com/Ctt349t.png) [number](http://i.imgur.com/obWpuK7.png) [of](http://i.imgur.com/cYgCS6A.png) [different](http://i.imgur.com/fCS876Z.png) [outfits](http://i.imgur.com/0WtKIjG.png) [over](http://i.imgur.com/yWK1L6c.png) [the](http://i.imgur.com/5xuK9kh.png) [course](http://i.imgur.com/qp4X5JF.png) [of](http://i.imgur.com/LMpf9yf.png) [the](http://i.imgur.com/20WCNcO.png) [show](http://i.imgur.com/o6pUMPo.png). A quick scan of google image search for a couple of supporting characters seems to indicate that they switch outfits around too, but probably don’t have quite the same variety as Miyamori.
