Utterly mundane and desperately pointless, but it’s bugging the piss out of me so I’ll ask. Can anyone please identify [this](http://www.youtube.com/user/PersilUK?v=Je5t6Hatwo8&feature=pyv&ad=12129228937&kw=detergent) song? If possible, I’d like the song title, the artist, the album it’s on, and the release date. Cheers! ---

I don’t know, and there are no results for the lyrics, but I do know that they’ve had a couple of adverts recently with music specifically composed for them, so it may not be an actual song. Unhelpful, sorry. ---

Yeah, I’m with Teacake. It may be a homemade song for that ad, because it’s not even “Shazam-able”. ---

LOL. It positively reeks of “commercial music.” It was almost surely created specifically for the commercial, to imitate the style of the hip, jaunty indie- and indie-esque- rock that has totally dominated commercials lately. Mind you, commercials for totally mundane shit with nothing exciting or musical about it, hence the desperate and often pathetic attempt on the part of the advertisers to connect specific emotions to their product…by using music just like this. In this case, it’s a commercial laundry detergent loaded with eco-unfriendly chemicals that I would never in a million years subject a baby or young child to - so of course, they use the images of cute babies and stuffed animals and jaunty, cute music to push their shit on you. It’s all marketing bullshit. They sell you image instead of substance. The only detergent I will use is [Ecos](http://www.ecos.com/) - plant based and environmentally friendly, and it works just as well as the big name brands - without the toxic chemicals and the fucking marketing bullshit. ---

According to [this site](http://www.canneslions.com/work/film/entry.cfm?entryid=20585&award=101&from=401&to=450&order=5&direction=1), it’s “Hello Love” by Damian Katkhuda. I can’t find it online, and I know NOTHING about Damian Katkhuda, so I can’t tell you anything about albums or release dates or even IF it’s an independent song instead of just being written for the ad. ---

Gosh, you’re amazing. Such intelligence! Such eloquence! How could I not already have realised these (blindingly obvious) things? I wish I could be just like you. I bet the view’s nice from that high horse, too. :rolleyes: No-one made any comment on whether the product, company or song are any good; someone just wanted to know what it was. By the way, I’m not sure your wonderful plant extracts are doing a very good job at getting all the self-congratulation out of your hair shirt. ---

I’m pretty sure those who are saying it was written for the commercial may be right. Edit: I plugged the guy’s name into Facebook and he does have a profile, including a link to a band he’s in.
