I’m trying to link to pictures in my LiveJournal and am realizing for the umpteenth time that AOL and Yahoo suck. Can anyone recommend a good, free place to upload pictures (that I can both link to and use \ with) so I can link to them? I’ve used [this site](http://www.villagephotos.com/) in the past, and have no complaints. As of three months ago, they did allow hotlinking. ---

I have used [http://picserver.student.utwente.nl/](http://picserver.student.utwente.nl/) in the past, before Fark got Farked for me at the office. It has become quite slow lately, it appears, but it does offer you free image hosting. ---

Among my friends the ones in vogue are [http://ourworld.cs.com](http://ourworld.cs.com) [http://www.lycos.co.uk/](http://www.lycos.co.uk/) nb. you must use the .co.uk version of Lycos to host images. Every other Lycos/Tripod site will kick of a hotlinked image host. ---

I use [Image4U](http://www.image4u.org) and they’ve been okay. Had a couple of problems with hosting since I signed on (a year ago maybe?), but good service generally. I’m pretty sure you can’t direct link with Shutterfly, btw.
