Just gotta say, temperament is a significant issue in any judicial job I’ve heard of at any level. Really hard to imagine anyone who thinks this guy exhibits such. ---

[I’ve found the full quote](https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/09/brett-kavanaugh-gave-a-speech-about-binge-drinking-in-law-school/) and I’m prepared to take a crack at it: You are misleading your readers, either intentionally or not, by claiming he was ‘trying to “piece together” the events of the previous night’. The quote is from a 2014 speech, in which Kavanaugh said " a classmate of mine and I were reminiscing and piecing things together the other day". “The other day” would seem to suggest that “piecing things together” was sometime contemporaneous to the 2014 speech, not the law school party several decades earlier. ---

I think Kavanaugh and Graham have succeeded at making this vote an acid test of party loyalty. That works very well for Republicans. I think that improves his odds of being confirmed, despite (or perhaps because of) his unhinged partisanship at the hearing. ---
