So we have yet another person speaking out who is unexpectedly in Team KavaNO.
Why does it seem as though the defenders on this board see nothing notable about the fact that so many people and institutions are against this nominee? Doesn’t it say something about Kavanaugh that there are so few in the legal community singing his praises right now? Surely his critics aren’t all left wing partisans.
Not going to read the Daily Mail. Anyone want to take one for the team and let me know if there’s anything in this story that’s not already in Keyser’s public statement from some time ago (that she didn’t remember the party, but did support Ford)?
The number of potential witnesses ignored by the FBI is troubling. One I’d like to hear from, under oath, is the professor at Princeton Theological Seminary who has what sounds like very relevant information about the Deborah Ramirez accusation:
Of course “nothing” will come from an investigation that has been instructed to ignore potential witnesses. What the right doesn’t seem to acknowledge is that tearing down institutions this way–and this cover-up “investigation” has done exactly that to both the Senate and the Supreme Court–will not ultimately benefit the right. Too many Americans will note the fakery, and will resent the contempt in which Republicans clearly hold their intelligence.
It looks like the FBI report contains information passed along to FBI - 1,600 pages worth. I’m not saying that’s an excuse for not interviewing some of those witnesses if the FBI wanted to, but that information from non-interviewed witnesses is available for the Senators to review.
