I don’t think so. They don’t have to vote when their name is called, but they can’t just vote “whenever they like.”

My guess is that the GOP is calculating that Kav ignites the “anti-#MeToo” vote in a way that no other Federalist-Society-approved candidate could. And they believe that all those who believe that women need to be shown their ‘proper place’ will be energized to turn out in November.

Kavanaugh wasn’t chosen for that, obviously–he was chosen by Trump because he promised to keep Trump safe from investigation and subpoenas. But when it turned out that Kav had a reputation for shall we say ‘indelicate’ interactions with women, he became the poster boy for all those men who believe they should be able to do as they please.

Will the GOP turn out to be right about this? Or will the voting-eligible women of America hand them their asses? We’ll know on November 7th.

Well, sure. The fact that most houses have first-floor bathrooms doesn’t disprove the fact that there are still a fair number of houses out there - including in Bethesda, MD - that don’t.

And for all we know, there was another bathroom on the first floor and it was in use when 15-year-old Christine realized she had a need for restroom facilities.

I really appreciate that statement against the insult against my home state. We have disagreed, but I thank you for that.
