Why would you think the dog would “just” make the noise and not “the rest of it?” ---

Oh, and more interestingly, they can hiccup, however it seems only young dogs do that. ---

He assumes that dogs do NOT make the burping noise but is asking if dogs sometimes expel stomach gas from their mouths (“the rest of it.”) From personal experience with my own dog, I can say that they burp just like people, although the noise is generally more discrete. ---

Strange. Our dogs can hiccup, despite some being in double digits age wise, but I’ve never heard them burp, nor any other dog. ---

Thank goodness they make the noise–gives you a chance to haul the canine onto a hard surface. Like, off the bed. Who was the poster who turned the table? Was sleeping, sick, sudden urge to vomit, leaned over bed–and vomited on her or his dog? I know it’s wrong, but it makes me cackle. Oh, what was the point? I think my dog burps, too, but not often. ---

What the hell? Wanna trade dogs? Damn things walk up, lay their head on the couch next to me, gaze up with those mournful eyes, and “bbbraaaaappp”. Weird thing tho, the burp doesn’t echo. ---

My fiancee’s dog doesn’t burp. Nosiree, it’s a full on belch. He could probbaly get to at least J if he was burping the alphabet. ---
