And even if Oprah’s influence has led some people to make choices that turned out badly, it hardly represents her overall impact on the world, which has been overwhelmingly positive. Oz recommends Reiki to his audience, which is perhaps an even more bizarre thing for a physician to get on board with than this supplement thing. I think it’s appalling, truly. ---

I’m Black and I have serious issues with what Oprah does. If she personally believes in wackadoodle theories and concepts, fine. Don’t use your clout to push those wacko theories on what is a very desperate and gullible public. That makes her worse than the people making their whacko claims. ---

I used to really like Oprah, was a fan for years. But she seems to have lost any sense of responsibility towards her audience, and an appreciation for how different their circumstances are from hers. ---
