Considering I majored in Limnology and took several classes on Forestry, I think I qualify as having “an interest in nature” and I can say without fear of contradiction that if I am discussing trees in a scientific forum, I would refer to Russian Olive as _Elaeagnus angustifolia_ and Red Cedar as either _Juniperus virginiana_ or_Thuja plicata_. Insisting that they are typed as russianolive or redcedar on a general interest website because that’s how your college professor preferred it seems more like “trying to pick a fight” than anything I’ve done.

There’s a joke to be made about missing the forest for the trees here. Please drop the hijack about spelling.
